Team Cybertron
1.3 The Dick Van Dyke Show - TC writes: "Continuing the tradition of selecting based on Most Funny, Team Cybertron picks: The Dick Van Dyke Show. It's made me laugh more than any sitcom I've ever seen, and the miraculous thing is, it was the early 60's so those guys couldn't curse or talk about sex or religion or anything (but they did a hilarious job of innuendo). It was a show about comedy writers, after all! Plus it launched Mary Tyler Moore's career, so it also gets credit for her show and all its spin-offs."
2.6 Red Dwarf - According to the human collective meta-brain (http://www.wikipedia.org), Red Dwarf is a sitcom, and now that I think about it, it does fit the bill. So that's my pick. Insane British sci-fi comedy featuring evolved cats and holographic smegheads? I suppose my #5 choice is pretty good after all!
3.3 I Dream of Jeannie - Because I was a 13-year-old boy once. (She was running around scantily clad, living with a man she wasn't married to, and calling him "master," and the censors wanted them to cover up her navel? Who were they kidding?!?)
4.6 Malcolm in the Middle - Because it's really damn funny, and it has that guy who I always think looks just like Neil Patrick Harris.
5.3 Platypus Man - This show was really terrible, actually. They only made like one season and I only ever saw maybe two episodes. It was part of the starting line-up of the now-defunct UPN, and is widely regarded as one of the lowest points in sitcom history.

BUT it starred Richard Jeni who was one of the funniest people ever. The guy had some of the best stand up routines and was also hilarious live (in interviews and on the radio and such), but was never able to really break in to the Hollywood establishment. Aside from a few minor roles (including one as Jim Carrey's best friend in The Mask) and this incredibly bad sitcom, Jeni just wasn't able to get much play. So to his memory I dedicate my final sitcom pick, Platypus Man.
